July has been a whirl wind for us. Avery celebrated her first 4th of July in Slater. We watched the parade and went swimming. Avery and Mommy went on lots of morning walks in town. She met Uncle Konrad and got to Skype with Auntie Kathy, Uncle Jack, Kristine, and Michael. She attended her Grandpa's Memorial Golf Tournament. We also spent some time in Mommy's classroom getting things ready for the new school year.
This month, Avery started sucking on her fists and arms. She drools a lot! She is now smiling in reaction to something, and she is eating 4 oz. of formula every 2.5 hours. When she lays on her tummy she can hold her head up 90 degrees. She is so big and more gorgeous every day!
Avery's cousin Afton is obsessed with her and loves to play with her. Afton is always very attentive and digs EVERYTHING out of Avery's diaper bag so that she can help take care of the baby. She covers her with blankets, wipes her face, gives her a pacifier, and sings to her to make her stop crying. Afton's favorite song to sing to Avery is the Scooby Doo theme song. "Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?"
