We went to our first baby doctor appointment yesterday in Ankeny. We went to the Ankeny Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, only 15 minutes from our house.... very convenienct. We had our 1st ultra sound at 1:30. IT WAS AMAZING! We saw and heard our baby's heart beat. We saw it's little legs and feet. The baby was lying on it's back with it's feet pointing up in the air. At one point, it was kicking legs, moving arms, stretching, and bouncing all over the place.... so wonderful to see. We couldn't take our eyes off of the screen. I couldn't believe that such a tiny thing was alive inside of me... it was a very proud moment for us! The baby is perfectly healthy; good length (4.54 cm), good weight, good movement! Can't wait for our next ultra sound! The doctor said that I'm totally healthy and everything looks good.
