I just rode in my 2nd RAGBRAI event. Again, it was very fun and exhilerating! On Wednesday, July 27 I rode from Boone to Altoona (55 miles) with a very big team, Ride for Ash. There were between 80-90 people all riding in memory of Ashley Okland, a friend of ours who was murdered earlier this year. Ashley and her sister Britney used to ride RAGBRAI every year together. So this year, we all rode along side Brit and her family to honor Ashley. On Friday, July 29 I rode from Grinnell to Coralville (75 miles) with my DAD! We had a great time! We stopped in every town for a drink, a bite of food, and some much needed R&R. Although the last 15 miles were grueling hills, we made it all the way! Can't wait for next year when I have a road bike!
