My best friend Katie has the cutest, and BIGGEST, baby boy on the planet! At Jacob's 1 month check-up, he weighed a whopping 13 lbs. and 2 oz.!!! HOLY COW! Joe and I had the honor and privelege of spending the enire night with Katie, Ben, and Jacob last Friday night. We had a blast. They treated us to Lou Malnati's pizza for dinner. We brought the blueberry beer!!! We watched our favorite show, Spartacus too. It was a completely relaxing evening... and very comforting as well. I dearly miss my best friend every single day! I am sooo very lucky to have been at the hospital the night that Jake was born. It was the most fun I've ever had in a waiting room. Joe & I, Beth & Brian, CB & DB, and Peg & Gig all waited patiently for hours and hours and hours.... until Ben finally came out of the delivery room with the news that Jacob was a healthy 10 lb. 9 oz. baby! We had Lou's pizza and Mike Ditka wine to celebrate the occasion! Auntie Lora and Uncle Joe bought baby Jake some awesome Chicago Bears outfits. It was sort of ironic at how big Jacob was when he was born, because he had to wear our gift home. He didn't fit in any of the new born clothes! hahaha

Great post Lora! We were the lucky ones to have you guys at the hospital the night he was born. You and Joe are great friends and a great Aunt & Uncle for Jake!
