Joe and I babysat for our niece Afton this Saturday. It was an enlightening experience for both of us. Joe and Afton enjoyed watching some college football together. She was lucky enough to see the Hawkeyes win! Even though she's only 5 months old... she had us wrapped around her little finger. Every noise she made, Joe checked on her. She was supposed to be napping, but instead of falling asleep, she layed on our bed and giggled and whined. Each time Joe came in to check on her, she smiled at him. The first diaper change was monumental for Joe, who has never changed a diaper, nor does he ever want to. Afton and I gave him Diaper 101. The second diaper change was a bit more eventful, with Afton peeing all over our rug. We just can't get enough of that little peanut! Our 3 cats didn't know what to do with themselves. We could tell that Afton's crying was freaking them out, yet they never left the room. They were extremely jealous of all of the attention that we were paying to Afton.
