Memorial Day Weekend in Chicago

Joe and I traveled to Chicago for Memorial Day weekend. Two of our friends, Brent and Rachel, met us in town for the weekend also. We stayed downtown at the Holiday Inn at River North. It was a great time! Joe, Brent, and Rachel are no longer virgins to Lou Malnati's! We all loved the food! We also went to Navy Pier, rode the ferris wheel, took an architectural boat tour, and saw Grandma & Grandpa's famous picture hanging in Billy Goat's Tavern. That evening we watched the future Stanley Cup Champions at Mother Hubbard's. Go Blackhawks!!! On Sunday morning, we walked through Lincoln Park Zoo and visited all of the lazy, sleeping animals... it was HOT! We had to go say hello to all of the kangaroos and their little Joey's. Then we got some beer and walked to the beach. Dinner was at the Chicago Oven & Grinder Co. on Clark St. To say the least, the food was phenominal, but the hour and 45 minute wait was annoying! We made a pit stop at River Shannon for some drinks and a jumbo game of Jinga! It was a great weekend! Can't wait to do it again!
