On Saturday, July 18, Joe and I had our second wedding shower of the summer. This shower was graciously hosted by my Aunt Kathy, my step-mom Linda, my Ciocia Lottie, my cousin Kristine, and my step-sister Lisa. The party was at my Dad and Linda's house, and the majority of the party was in the gorgeous backyard. It was my Aunt Kathy's idea to do a Mexican Fiesta themed shower, which went over very well with everyone. The food was delicious! We had chicken fajitas, bean salad, quacomole, pork loin, salsa, corn, and lots of wine. The decor was lovely!! Lots of brights colors, flowers, pinatas, and sombreros. Joe's skills as to how well he knows his bride-to-be were tested when he was blindfolded and told to find me out of a group. All he could do was feel our hands... and sure enough, he picked Ciocia! It was pretty hilarious!!! Joe's mom and dad drove in from Iowa for the day, and my family from Texas also graced us with their presence! Thanks to everyone for a wonderful day!
