Since Joe came to Chicago during the weekend of the Iowa vs. Iowa State game, I thought I would surprise him and hopefully cheer him up a bit. I called Lu Ann a week ahead of time, and asked her to buy Joe and new ISU t-shirt. She did, and hid it in his car... so the shirt made it to Chicago. I wrapped it up and made Joe a card... black and gold in color, of course. The card explained that I would be taking Joe to watch the Iowa vs. ISU game at a bar in Wrigleyville, and my family would be joining us for an afternoon of drinking and football! Joe was very surprized and happy that he would not have to miss the game.... but he was a bit disappointed in the way the game ended!

Lora your blog is awesome! I love all the pictures of Iowa. Ben and I are so happy for you guys! We love you so much. We can't wait to party on 9/19/09! It's going to be one heck of a bash :)
