Well, the lack of oxygen and the high altitude on Pike's Peak must have made us crazy.... because Joe proposed and Lora said, "Yes!" on Monday, August 11, 2008!
We are both really excited about our engagement! Joe and I went on vacation to Colorado. We stayed with my Aunt Pat, and took lots of short day-trips. We went to Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, The Royal Gorge Bridge, and Manitou Springs. We fed the giraffes at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and we got to pet a hippo! We also took a white water rafting trip in the Arkansas River. Most of our nights were spent sitting by the fireplace at Aunt Pat's house. She cooked us a lot of yummy food! We did a lot of hiking... which was very tiring for us, but we loved it! We even had a near-death experience on the awesome Sky Coaster at the Royal Gorge! Aunt Pat says that we have to come back to Colorado next August 11 for our 1 year anniversary. She would also like for us to have all of our babies on top of Pike's Peak! Not sure if that's gonna happen!
